tiny bits of spring… and my new obsession

i mailed off my first etsy sale today (thanks, rebekah!).

i’m afraid etsy’s become a bit of an obsession for me….

i’m sure the excitement will die down eventually, but i’m really looking forward to the day when i can post some of my more recent creations in my shop.  what do you all think–is packaging important for etsy items?  when i sold stuff in stores i made sure everything was labeled and bundled and all, but it takes so much extra time and since people generally throw the packaging away, it seems like a big waste all the way around.  not that i woudn’t put labels on my items, but …. let’s say a set of pillowcases.  do they need a strip of paper with my logo to wrap around the set?  or how about tea towels?  do they need a strip of paper?  or a ribbon tied around a set of two?  or can i just package these things with a little tissue paper, a business card and call it good?
