meet my new favorite pants. i found them at goodwill a few weeks ago. they needed a few interior patches, but they only cost me $2. the name brand is “pilcro and the letterpress” and they were originally $118 from anthropologie (i love a good bargain story!). they are stretchy and the corduroy is the finest, softest wale i’ve ever felt. initially, i wasn’t sure about the enormous flared legs, but i’ve grown quite fond of them. the color seems to go with almost half of my wardrobe, so i put together three outfits using these pants to show you here. this first outfit was one i wore to work last week on a day that i was teaching a (non-messy) toddler art class. i think of it as my “art teacher” outfit.
(i love this necklace! i made it years ago and it always makes me smile.)
next is a slightly dressier outfit. i haven’t actually worn this one out in public yet, but i think i will very soon. i love the little bronze “glitter” in the top and the drape of this soft, lightweight cardigan.
but my favorite is this outfit that i actually wore today.
i felt so confident (and comfortable!) all day in this–a rare combination. plus, the light and my wonderful husband’s photography skills make this my favorite shot of the day:
and i finally used one of the new scarf tying techniques that i found on pinterest! i used the “magic trick” knot found on this video around the 2:37 mark. very easy and a much more “full” looking knot than the one i usually do.
(all outfit pieces thrifted unless otherwise noted)
