the kitties enjoy the upgrade

so our cats love to sit in windows and doorways and watch nature. not a big surprise. but one of our cats especially loves to sit at the back door when it’s just the screen door between her and the outdoors, presumably because she gets a closer view of the ground where all the tasty little furry animals roam. she loves sitting there so much that we’ve taken to calling it (and i know this feels somehow wrong) “kitty tv.” she’ll beg and kiss up to us until we open the door so she can park her butt on the rug to watch what’s going on.

i may have already mentioned that this week we replaced all of the windows in the dining room. they went from grubby slats with ridiculous amounts of windowage between you and the outdoors to casement windows which, when opened, leave nothing beween you and nature except a large screen. the point of this entire blog it to relate to you that mr. happy stuff asked the kitties on the first day that we replaced the windows, if they liked their new “big screen tv’s” because the pun just cracked me up. i am a sucker for a good pun.
