a visit from a dear friend

i’ve been busy preparing the house for the visit of a dear friend of mine who arrived yesterday morning. she brought her 1 year old daughter with her and they arrived in town in time for my afternoon storytime at the library! it’s so good to visit with her. today, we went thrifting and she found some great clothes (and so did i!) and now everyone but me is taking a nap. i love summer afternoons when i don’t have to work. we hung the hammock chair on the front patio and chatted out there for awhile. maybe i’ll go work on my quilt for a little bit. have i told you about that yet?
