so i made another batch of rhubarb compote the same size as the first one, then combined them into one big pot and left it in the fridge until i had time to can it. well, tonight was the night! first, i re-heated the compote to boiling.
then, i boiled the jars and lids to sterilize them:
then i filled the jars:
then i boiled them again and pulled them out to cool and seal.
i love to hear the little *pop* of the lid sealing as the jar cools. aren’t they pretty? hmmmm…. but now i’ll need to make some more compote for immediate consumption. good thing i still have more rhubarb!
